Laser branding - how our barrel becomes yours
When customers and interested people come to visit us in the cooperage, there is one thing that everyone would like to see and that inspires again and again: our industrial lasers for marking and labeling of barrels.
The first barrels that we personalized were still marked with a soldering iron by our colleague Anja. Usually the barrel was then a present for a round birthday or the birth of the first grandchild.
High demand
But because the demand increased more and more, we decided to buy a laser in 2012, which can burn not only lettering, but whole pictures and logos on the barrels.
Our customers were soon enthusiastic and so the new laser was soon working to capacity, engraving logos, dedications, pictures and sayings all day long on all conceivable barrels.
And what is even better than a laser? Correct! Two lasers!
So, shortly after purchasing the first one, we decided to buy a second one to be able to serve our customers with their personalized barrels even faster.
Barrel sizes
Besides the customers’ logos, we still laser many wedding casks, birthday casks or so-called private casks, i.e. small casks in which the customer stores his own distillate.
By the way, the cask size is not important for the branding, we laser casks from 1 l up to 16.000 l.
Correct template
I am often asked what needs to be taken into account for branding. It is helpful to see how the laser works: Your template is converted into a specific file format. The laser now sets a focal point wherever it finds a color point in the template. Therefore, we ask you to send us your template in black and white only, as the device unfortunately cannot distinguish whether it has a grayscale or something actually black in front of the lens.
In short, the laser works like a stamp.
The next question that is often asked is about the size of the motif. Our laser can burn your pattern with a maximum size of 30×30 cm. However, the place on the barrel must of course also provide the necessary space for this. We adapt the whole thing for you so that it looks good.
As with the construction of the barrels themselves, we attach great importance to aesthetics in laser branding.
Dispatch approval
So you will not experience that we send a barrel where the branding does not look exactly like the original. If something should not be represented in such a way (because of very fine lines for example) you will receive a photo from us for shipping approval. And only after we have received this from you, your barrel will go on its journey.
