Aquaflex

You are here:

Aquaflex is a production procedure used by Seguin Moreau in which the barrel body is boiled in hot water before it is toasted in order to open the wood’s pores and draw most of the tannins out of the wood.

After this step in the process, the barrel rose is very softly toasted at low heat by an oak wood fire. This creates a very fine barrel that respects the fruit of the wine.

In our barrel shop, you will find a great selection of Seguin Moreau barrels which were made using the aquaflex procedure: https://www.faesser-shop.de/holzfaesser-profi/seguin-moreau
