Barrel table with thermobox

The barrel table was built according to customer specifications from a 300 l wooden barrel and a thermobox was integrated to fit perfectly. The tires were professionally screwed and secured against falling down. The barrel is left in its natural appearance as standard and is covered with wax. Before the production of shelf barrels, we let the barrels dry and glue the staves individually. This complex process ensures the stability of the shelf and prevents the wood from warping due to temperature fluctuations. Nevertheless, too dry and warm heating air is not good for the barrel.

A 1000 mm round robinia wood plate was mounted on the shelf barrel which invites to get together, talk, drink and eat. The plate is individually manufactured in our carpenter’s workshop from squared timber, grooved and glued. The wood for the top is sourced from the forest of Vosges and Palatinate.

Finally, four heavy-duty castors were mounted to facilitate the movement of the barrel.
