Tubs in winter
Do you already have one of our beautiful tubs at home? Then you are probably wondering what to do with it in the fall and winter.

In the following lines, we would like to give you a few good tips and advice on how to winter-proof your pots and enjoy them for many years to come:
- Please ensure that there is sufficient ventilation (at least 20 – 30 cm from the bottom), otherwise mold can form.
- We do not recommend placing the pots directly on the soil as they will weather much more quickly.
- The tubs should only rest on the ground, not on the edges (the staves / side walls)
- If there is no flat substructure, then the buckets should only be placed on wooden supports at right angles to the longitudinal axis.
- The more support surface the better, especially in the middle. This prevents the staves from bending.
- Please avoid the use of chlorine as much as possible. We accept no liability for changes to the water or the inner surface of the tub if chlorine is used.
- If you wish to empty the tub over winter, please note that the wood will dry out considerably over time. This can lead to gaps between the staves and leaks.
So soak the wood sufficiently before use. - It may be necessary to reattach the tires. If you need help with this, please contact us and we will be happy to give you a little lesson
- The barrel must be emptied in the event of frost. Damage could be caused by frozen layers of ice

Cheers!
